Who are we?
Bertels is a production and trading company that produces different types of (organic) substrates, base nutrients and additives and supplies all over the world within different industries and to different types of customers. We own 2 brands known under 2 trade names, namely “Plagron” and “Pure”.
In the past few years, Bertels welcomed many new colleagues. We outgrew our building. Owing to this expansion of the company, a beautiful new building was built. The company moved to new premises in August 2020.
We strive to have as much in-house knowledge as possible. This allows us to respond quickly to developments in all fields of work. Over 80 colleagues are working within the following departments of Bertels: Research & Development, Marketing, Web Development, Graphics, Regulatory Affairs, Business office / Production and Sales. In addition, various staff departments such as Finance, HR, ICT and Catering.
What to expect from Bertels?
Flexible working hours, but no flexible workplaces! Every employee and intern has their own workplace. A lot of work is done in project teams, where your input and enthusiasm can really make the difference. As an intern at Bertels, you will be a full member of your department and team.
The atmosphere is no-nonsense and informal with short communication lines. No day is like the other. At noon, a tasty lunch will be waiting for you in our Brasserie. Besides lunch, Bertels offers for free: fresh fruit and fries with snacks every month.
